Cadcorp appoints Robin Sheehan northern European sales and business manager

20 years GIS and IT industry experience will help fuel company's further growth

Stevenage, UK. 8 December, 2004. - Digital mapping and geographic information systems (GIS) software developer Cadcorp has announced the appointment of Robin Sheehan as northern European sales and business manager. His role is to expand on Cadcorp's existing European operations by building business partnerships that maximise the sales opportunities that exist for Cadcorp software within northern Europe.

Sheehan began his career as a meteorologist and spatial modeller at the UK Meteorological Office before taking up a post at Software Sciences Corporation as a GIS consultant. From there he moved to the British Oceanographic Data Centre as a project manager and GIS consultant before being appointed global business development manager at LaserScan. He later joined GenaWare where he was managing director, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) prior to taking up his new position at Cadcorp.

"There is a great deal of untapped potential for us in Europe and his appointment will enable us to realise it by providing the software solutions and technical support infrastructure that GIS users need, no matter where they are."
