Press ReleaseFour new faces at Cadcorp Cadcorp, the developer of the popular Cadcorp SIS – Spatial Information System digital mapping and GIS software suite is pleased to announce the recruitment of four more members of staff for its Stevenage (UK) headquarters. New Zealander Campbell Brown has joined the Cadcorp Pre-Sales Team. Brown graduated in Geography from the Victoria University of Wellington. Subsequently he worked on the 'LandOnLine' project in New Zealand as a consultant. This World First project involved capturing data from existing survey plans and converting it to survey-accurate digital cadastre and then making it available on the Internet for electronic survey transactions. Prior to joining Cadcorp, Brown worked as a freelance GIS analyst for a number of UK councils including the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, the London Borough of Islington and Luton Borough Council. He also holds a solo pilot's licence and a NZ bar managers licence. Julian Haywood has joined the Cadcorp Customer Services Team and is working on Web development projects for a number of customers. An MA and MSc graduate of Peterhouse, Cambridge, in Mathematics, Haywood was previously a senior software engineer with Laser Scan. There he worked as principal developer, designer and technical project manager for a real-time flight information Web delivery system and on a generic product for automatic cartographic text placement. Haywood is also a Town Councillor for St Neots and a qualified signalman on a preserved steam railway. Frenchman Christophe Jarny has joined Cadcorp as a GIS Technical Specialist in the Quality Assurance Team. Currently working on testing Web software, Jarny graduated in GIS from the University of East London. He is a keen traveller and cyclist. Philip McLaughlin is from Northern Ireland and has also joined Cadcorp as a GIS Technical Specialist in the Quality Assurance Team. Currently working on testing Cadcorp SIS desktop and developer products, McLaughlin has a degree in geography from Queens University Belfast and an MSc in GIS from the University of Ulster. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional in Visual Basic Desktop and distributed applications. His previous work experience includes Web Development with Western Connect, Derry City. McLaughlin's interests include Gaelic football.
