Cadcorp gains six more OpenGIS® certificates

The GIS software vendor's tally for OpenGIS certification now stands at ten

Cadcorp, the developer of the popular Cadcorp SIS – Spatial Information System – digital mapping and GIS software suite is pleased to announce that it has received six OpenGIS compliance certificates. These now join the four conformance certificates previously received from the Open GIS Consortium Inc., (OGC), that relate to Simple Features (SFO), Grid Coverages (GC) and Coordinate Transformation Services (CTO).

Three Cadcorp software products - Cadcorp SIS Map Server, Cadcorp SIS Active Server Component and Cadcorp GeognoSIS.NET - were submitted for compliance testing against the OpenGIS Web Map Service (WMS 1.1.1) and Web Feature Service (WFS 1.0.0) interface standards.

As a further commitment to activities of the OGC, Cadcorp is also introducing a free desktop viewer product called Cadcorp SIS Map Browser. This is designed to view and query data served via WMS and WFS specifications, as well as GML 2.1.2 and Web Map Context XML data sources. Together with Cadcorp SIS Map Server, which is bundled free with all Cadcorp SIS Map Modeller licences, this represents an end-to-end OGC-standards based Internet and Intranet solution.

Cadcorp SIS OS MasterMap Loader is supplied with Cadcorp SIS Map Modeller for the loading and management of Ordnance Survey MasterMap data in relational databases.

Cadcorp apSIS is programmable component software for the development of geospatial applications for the desktop and Pocket PC platforms.

Cadcorp mSIS is a data collection package that incorporates a desktop data capture management application and a Pocket PC based data collection tool.
