North Sydney Council Selects Cadcorp SIS

Australian Cadcorp SIS distributor, Integrated Spatial Systems (ISS) are pleased to announce that North Sydney Council has selected Cadcorp SIS to meet their corporate GIS needs, becoming the third Local Government Authority in New South Wales since June 1999 to follow this path.

Stage one of the system will be built around Computer Aided Development Corporation's Spatial Information System (Cadcorp SIS). The initial installation will consist of Cadcorp SIS Map Modeller and Map Manager modules, for the maintenance and analysis of council's 2D and 3D data.

Later stages will include the implementation of the ISS-SIS Web application for use by GIS Enquiry users throughout Council. This application uses a web-based GIS environment based on the Cadcorp SIS Active Server Component and allows full access to the GIS and aspatial data using only standard web browsers with no plug-ins or application downloads.

The project will be managed by ISS Technical Director, David Archer.
