Lane Cove Council (Australia) purchase Cadcorp SIS

Lane Cove is an inner urban residential, commercial and light industrial centre located 10km North of the Sydney CBD and has a population of approximately 31,000.

In December last year Lane Cove Council selected Cadcorp's Spatial Information System (SIS), supplied by Cadcorp distributor Integrated Spatial Systems (ISS), as their corporate GIS to take them into the new millennium.

SIS was purchased on 21 December, Integrated Spatial Systems completed the installation on 22nd, and the initial training on the system for GIS personnel was completed in early January.

Council has also selected Wacher Authority as their corporate information system and the ease with which Cadcorp SIS can be integrated with other Windows based applications was a key point in Cadcorp SIS's favour during the evaluation process.

Cadcorp Map Modeller will be the primary GIS data maintenance and analysis tool with general enquiry access being provided via Intergrated Spatial System's ISS-SIS Enquiry application developed using the SIS Viewer OCX.
