Cadcorp and the OGC
|
 |
'The
OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) is an international industry consortium
of over 250 companies, government agencies and universities participating
in a consensus process to develop publicly available interface specifications.
OGC Specifications support interoperable solutions that ''geoenable''
the Web, wireless and location-based services, and mainstream IT.
The specifications empower technology developers to make complex spatial
information and services accessible and useful with all kinds of applications.'
Since 1997, Cadcorp has been heavily involved in the activity of the
OGC, and has contributed to several of the OGC Implementation Specifications
that have been developed. Cadcorp has more implementations of OGC
standards than any other vendor, and the highest number of OGC certified-compliant
implementations, all of which are built-in as standard across the
Cadcorp GIS software range.
Cadcorp SIS is OGC certified compliant for SFO 1.1, CTO 1.0, GC1.0,
WMS 1.1.1 & WFS 1.0.0 interfaces. Cadcorp SIS also implements
WMS 1.0.0, WMC 1.0, WFS 0.0.14 & 0.0.13, GML 2.1 & 2.0, Gaz
0.8, Filter 1.0.0 and WTS 0.3.2.
